Students

In keeping with this spirit of community activism, students at Needham High School, created an annual series of events they named “Own Your Peace-Piece”. One  centerpiece of “Own Your Peace-Piece Week” is an all-school speak-out assembly unlike any other. Courageous students stand in front of their peers and teachers, and describe their own struggles with a variety of issues and the tremendous value of receiving and providing support. The response from students, faculty and parents alike is overwhelmingly powerful and positive. The Needham High School community has become more sensitized to the experiences and feelings many of us have.
